Commercial Sports Media hosted another seminar on ”Trends and Innovations in Sport Industry” together with DMC Production and Sportway in Båstad during Nordea Swedish Open. The seminar covered the latest in sports tech linked to professional sporting events as well as private equity and sports.

Ex FIFA referee Jonas Eriksson spoke about enhancing the football experience. He is a favor of having the sound from the referees´ microphones being distributed to the spectators in the arenas and also to the TV audience.

Commercial Sports Media (CSM) has announced the appointment of experienced media rights executive, Stew Walker, as their UK-based consultant. In its continued expansion, Stew will support the growth of CSM’s portfolio of business interests including Sportway, the AI production media group and CSM Ventures, their sports tech investment arm.

Stew brings the best part of two decades of experience to Commercial Sports Media. Most recently, he was the EVP of Global Rights Partner- ships at DAZN, leading the division responsible for managing their portfolio of global joint ventures including FIBA Media and WTA Media.

Stockholm-based CSM started to operate in 2014 and has been consulting clients such as Swedish Hockey League, Finnish ice hockey league and ice hockey federations across the Nordics. CSM is also the exclusive advisor of SEF, that is handling Swedish top league football. Since 2022 the footprint grew following the hire of Michael Gott and Holger Ensslin to include also DACH region and in 2023 was joined by Norway based Kristoffer Holm.
