Finland claimed the bronze medal in men’s ice hockey at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, concluding a very strong tournament performance.

After progressing through the group stage and knockout rounds, Team Finland came close to reaching the gold medal game, narrowly losing to Canada in the semi-finals. However, the team responded well in the bronze medal match, delivering a composed and efficient performance against Slovakia.

In the third-place game, Finland defeated Slovakia 6–1, with a decisive third period securing the result. Goals from Sebastian Aho, Erik Haula (2), Roope Hintz, Kaapo Kakko and Joel Armia ensured a convincing finish, while goaltender Juuse Saros delivered a solid performance throughout the game.

The bronze medal adds to Finland’s consistent track record in Olympic ice hockey, marking yet another podium finish at the highest international level.
