The inaugural Nordic Sport & Media Summit took place on July 17 at the Congress Pavilion in Båstad Tennis Stadium — bringing together more than 100 senior executives from across sport, media, and investment for an afternoon of insights, discussion, and networking.

Set against the iconic backdrop of the ATP Nordea Open, the summit explored how global capital, technology, and media are transforming the sports industry, and what this means for the Nordic model — with its unique governance structures and values.

The 2025 program focused on three central themes:

• Sport as an Asset Class – examining how global investment is reshaping ownership, governance, and long-term strategy.
• Sports Media: The Engine of Growth – exploring the evolving media landscape, from streaming and data to fan engagement.
• Nordic Perspectives – discussing opportunities and challenges for Nordic sports in a rapidly globalizing market.

The lineup featured a world-class group of speakers, including Hans van Rijn (The Walt Disney Company), Alan Resnikoff (Coral Tree Partners), Adam Harlang Meyer
(EQT), Roger Mitchell (Albachiara), Claus Thomsen (Danish Football Leagues), Dugald Macdonald
(Sportable Technologies), Christer Hult (ATP Nordea Open), Nick Meacham (SportsPro), — with Jonas Persson (Commercial Sports Media) among the event’s co-founders.

“Our ambition was to create a forum where Nordic and global perspectives meet — to discuss, challenge, and inspire the future of the industry,” said Jonas Persson.

The summit concluded with an informal networking session, where delegates continued discussions over coffee & drinks — surrounded by world-class tennis and the vibrant energy of the Nordea Open.
